About This Product
Kaweco Sketch Up is a big, bold clutch pencil that takes an extra-large 5.6 mm lead. (For comparison, a standard artist pencil has a 2 mm lead.) As the name suggests, it's ideal for loose sketches with broad lines and shading. A spring-loaded metal clasp holds the lead in place and allows it to be advanced easily with the button on the back of the pencil. Unscrew that back button from the pencil and you'll find a built-in sharpener.
The build quality of this pencil is just as impressive as its unique functionality. It's all metal, with a brass body and aluminum components. There are very few parts, which means a longer life, as very few things could go wrong with this simple device.
The Black Brass version of Kaweco Sketch Up features the same brass construction as the Raw Brass, but with an elegant matte black finish. Instead of bright chrome, the hardware at each end of the Black Brass pencil is deep metallic grey.
Made in Germany. One soft graphite lead included.
